Legal Technology Product Manager-Gen AI
CMS is looking to recruit an experienced Legal Tech Product Manager-Gen AI. This role will help spearhead our commitment to being a future facing firm, using best in practice legal tech to support our colleagues and better serve our clients. To support CMS with the adoption of GenAI tools throughout the business and testing of product capabilities to support with the development of work types where the tools can be applied.

About the role
Responsibilities include:
• Work with the product management team and senior stakeholders in the business to help deliver the firm AI strategy, with a specific focus on adoption of GenAI tools.
• Technical subject matter expert in the use of GenAI tools on a range of matters across the business, to lead demos of these tools for colleagues and clients.
• Create and provide training sessions and materials to support lawyers across the business on how to use GenAI products effectively and efficiently.
• Work with the product management and legal operations & project management team to define the ideal workflow when interacting with GenAI platforms across a range of different work types from cradle to grave of matters, incorporating different stakeholders involved and how they interact with the tools at each stage.
• Work with our wider team and stakeholders of each practice group to support with the adoption plan and continual improvement activities of work types that utilise Gen AI tools.
• Collate value metrics of tools within this space to be able to express and quantify the value obtained through use of the tools.
• To create and maintain a bank of case studies to help express value of the tool to new users and communicate throughout the firm.
• Create super user network of Gen AI users across the business to support innovative culture of CMS and further embed the use of these tools in practice, sharing knowledge across the business.
• Support with creation of client facing training sessions including e-learning opportunities, webinars or roundtables.
• Account management responsibilities working with customer success teams from our suppliers as well as the CMS internal teams on technical requirements and sign off for functionality of the tools, along with supporting on supplier negotiations, on-boarding and renewals.
• Work alongside the legal technologists on the Legal Tech Tools Team, to help train them up on ideal working practices when working with lawyers and customising specific tools, to help them scope out new projects. To act as an escalation point should any issues arise where we need to work with the supplier to rectify.
• Keep abreast of any market changes and new tools within the this space, working with the wider Legal Tech Product Team to consider for testing and piloting internally.
• Support with on-boarding and roll out of potential new GenAI products as they come into the business.
About you

• Experience as a practicing solicitor having used AI tools on matters would be favourable. Alternatively, product management experience with AI tools at a law firm.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders.
• Good organisational and prioritisation skills to manage mixed role and busy workload.
• Experience with project management would be a plus.
• Strong meeting facilitation experience with senior stakeholders and clients.
• Experience with project scoping is a must.
• Strong communications skills are essential.
• Solution oriented, problem solver and self-starter mindset.
• Able to adapt and navigate a disruptive and changeable market.
