We have an exciting opening for an experienced Banking Solicitor to join our team in Edinburgh
The Corporate and Leveraged Finance team sits within the Finance group at CMS. The team deals with several varied and interesting practice areas including leveraged and acquisition finance, TMT finance (especially fintech), corporate lending (including corporate real estate lending) and funds finance.

About the Role
We act on lending transactions across various sectors and product areas. Particular areas of sector focus include the technology, media and telecoms industries, energy and infrastructure (including digital infrastructure), life sciences and healthcare and hotels and leisure.
Clients also span the lending universe from established UK and international banks and alternative lenders to private equity sponsors, corporates and technology start-ups.
In addition, much of the firm's fintech work is handled by the team, including debt and equity investment in fintech businesses acting for both investors and many household names in fintech and digital banking. The team acts on emerging technology work including AI, blockchain, and digital asset projects advising commercial enterprises, regulators and governments.
In this role, you can expect to get involved in a variety of work including:
• multi-jurisdictional lending and refinancing transactions
• private equity backed acquisition finance
• embedded finance transactions
• multi hotel/investment finance
• advisory work and legal opinion work
The existing team comprises 3 partners, 2 senior associates, 3 associates and a trainee.
